Breeding

What all will I need for breeding, i will be ordering a hovabator soon and I will be getting a tank ready for the babies (10 gallon) i've read Rich's care sheet, but that says what to do instead of what I need. Any tips will be helpful as well.

Do you mean what you need for the eggs or the lizards themselves? You just need a male and a female.

you CAN use perlite in the incubator, i would put the eggs (a pair) in a small container with about 1-2" of moist perlite... use a lid and drill small holes in the SIDE of the container and put this in the incubator...

you NEED to use vermiculate or sphagum moss for the lay box though....

OK this is my plan, i'll have a 40 gallon long with I will house 1.4 Leopard Geckos in. with plenty of hide spots ect. But i'm guess I wont be able to house the male in with them so he'll have a separate cage. But with all the things I plan to breed i'm going to need to buy more than one incubator

the trick is to start one at a time and go slow and be patient :P . get your Leopard Geckos bought, quarentined , setup , eating regualy and in good breeding condition, no matter how badly you want babies the adults health is more important. i dont have any
breeding expeirience YET but thats what I would do . i have dune gecko eggs and am going into breeding saharan uromastyx,Bearded Dragons and eventually blue-tailed tree lizards. and I know its very hard to wait my Bearded Dragons are waitig for me to go on vaction and back before they get a chance at breeding, and uros are waiting on quarentine. then I get to start waht i've been waitng so long for. good luck with your Leopard Geckos, do you have any pictures of them?

Trust me, if you rush things nothing will come out right. When you rush you wanna hatch those eggs quick and raise the incubator temps and then you have deformities

OH I won't be able to rush into it, i don't even have all the females (or male too) I won't be breeding leopard geckos for a while. I just want to know everything I can before I even buy anything. I also want different morphs and they can cost a lot. It might even be in a years time before I get into breeding Leopard Geckos, i plan to breed a different species first. AND while I was looking through herp laws I gotta have a permit to sell CBs!!!! SO I gotta buy the 50 dollar permit before I can even sell the babies . I beat it might be a years time maybe before I get all the morphs and other things I will need so dont think im going to rush into it. and heres my adult female http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...s/HPIM0457.jpg and I heres the sub-adult female http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...s/HPIM0458.jpg
