I got my new leopard gecko.......

I got my first leopard gecko. its just a little baby but its so cool! I think its a he and hes about 2-3 inches long. Hes starting to get a fat tail now too and hes very healthy. I cant wait to handle him a bit. Is it ok to handle baby leopards?

Awesome, i cant wait to see pictures. If you just got him, i would give him sometime to get used to his new home so he will not get stressed.

Give him/her about a week to settle in before you start handling regularly. Feed him daily and show that your presence isn't a threat by letting him get used to your hand going in and out of the tank to feed, provide water and to clean. When you start handling begin slowly - start by stroking him in the tank and then picking him up in the tank or seeing if he will come on to your hand. If you take it slowly you are more likely to get a response more quickly than if you dive straight in there. You need to give him time to learn to trust you.

Congratulations by the way! Post some pics if you can!

Well when I went to drop a cricket in front of him he screaned and lunged at me! Is this unusual? And if so what do I do?
