Hello,
Some species of albino have varying shades of banding on their body. The darker banding supposedly isn't compromised of melanin. The lack of melanin throughout the body is what dictates albinism. That leo isn't a jungle though. I keep and breed jungles. I would say it is a chocolate phase albino, but the bloodline isn't pure so it can't be sold or bred as a Tremper Chocolate, etc. That would be misleading as the bloodline isn't proven to be pure.

I don't know what toadie is talking about, I have seen albinos like yours, and mine have produced hatchlings that are definitely albinos - all pink etc. Don't let others rain on your parade!

No one is doing that, if you read the first post the question asked was to determine the strain of albinism that the leo originated, no one is disputing that it is albino, Toadie was just asking a question.

As has been mention a couple of times in the thread it is albino and most likely a chocolate albino but the linerage will be unknown. All that aside, it does not take away from the fact that it is still a very pretty gecko.

I didnt mean to bring anyone down but I know petco mislabeled my patternless as a leo/gargoyle gecko cross. Which is totally impossible.

Thanks everyone!

Not sure on breeding these, other than possibly the blizzard to my new rainwater albinos...

I will be posting pics in the next few days of my new 1.4 colony that I got on Sunday, once they finish shedding! I have 1.3 rainwaters and 0.1 striped that I added... that brings me to 2.6 Leopard Geckos all of a sudden! Haha

Pics to come...
