How about the name Styx? That way you will always remember how far he's come from a stick boy to a fat boy!

How's the gecko Donna? Bless her little cotton socks - I know that with the right care she will be fine. As I said, I bet you will see an improvement in just days! Good luck with her, feed her as I advised - did she eat yesterday?> always a good sign. Keep us updated on the precious little thing.

She didnt take any food yesterday, I have a vet appointment at 4:20pm, I just hope they can do something to help her, I told them that I have been vivsiting this gecko at the petshop and how it has deteriorated over the past few months so I brought her home with me to get the help and care she needs, hopefully they will see this petshop for what it is and something can be done, I have had various Herps go to the vets from there that I have had to bring home, will update you all when I get back home with the little one...

Good luck Donna, I hope she is ok. She may just be dehydrated, weak, and settling in, don't worry too much. When did you try her with food and what food? Try putting in a couple of crix (and some veg so they can eat it, and not bother her), and leave her overnight, she may not have wanted to eat in your presence, and may have been scared.

Let us know what the vet says, and if I were you I would seriously consider reporting the shop to the right authorities - this is not the first reptile which has not been in top condition from there.

Update!!!

We took the little one to the vets, they are keeping her in over the weekend, to try and get some liquid food into her and worm her, and to observe, the vet said she was bright eyed, very alert and active, she wouldnt sit still for the vet she was off, the vet said I can phone over the weekend anytime to check hows she is doing and bring her home on Monday, I will give updates as I get them thanks for listening

Oh I almost forgot before I went to the vets I wanted to warm up the car before taking the little one out, so I took a trip to another pet shop further away and got a Mexican Red Knee T its only a sling, so too small for pics and is preparing to molt

Good luck man. The little dude is one lucky gecko to have ended up with someone who can take him to a vet.

In the past, I rescued leopard geckos in similar condition only to see them die before my eyes. I attempted to save them myself because they were determined ill, and as prisoners at a concentration camp, were to be executed to prevent spreading of disease and sentenced to die in the freezer. I had more knowledge then anyone I knew so I attempted to do what only a qualified, talented reptile vet could pull of. Maybe they would've lived if they had been to a vet but that simplywas not an option for us at the time. The three leopard geckos that I currently own were all rescued from similar circumstances. Out of the 5 leopard geckos I've attempted to save, three survived. Not bad in my opinion for the survival rate without any professional intervention. If he sees a good vet, he'll have a good chance of survival. Keep me updated. Good luck.
