Humid Hide Help

I've been trying to get my leo to eat jumbo mealworms for about a week now, with the mealworm shortage I had no choice. After several days of disinterest for the jumbo's I decided she was probably preparing for a shed so I set up a humid hide. she has been in it for 2 days now( with no sign of shed) and today she ate 4 jumbo mealworms.

- she has 3 other hides that she has used happily but seems to prefer being in the humid hide, should I just trust nature and assume instinct knows best?
or should I worry about her being subjected to high levels of humidity.

re: Humid Hide Help

I believe that they should always have a moist hide available...

Leopard Gecko Caresheet (Eublepharis macularius) - Reptile Information - Caresheets Database
"When a leopard gecko retreats to its hide during the daylight hours, they are often in chambers or holes that have a higher humidity level than the ambient air outside of the hide spot. To simulate this type of environment, you will need to create a moist hide."

Re: Humid Hide Help

My girl is ALWAYS in her humid hide. She never uses her dry warm hide. It's nothing to be worried about =]
