Thinking About Getting a Leopard Gecko

Are leopard geckos hard to take care of? Are they easy to tame? I have 2 Water Dragons which need a lot of attention. So I'm looking for something cool, and not too too hard to take care of.

Leopard Geckos are great little guys. Very easy to look after.
Here's an awesome caresheet.

Re: Thinking About Getting a Leopard Gecko

Cool, still thinking about it. I have a 30 gal tank for spare, Should that hold him? My 2 Wd's live in a 55 gal for now, but sometime toward the end of the summer im going to get a homemade enclosure for the dragons, and possibly put 2 or more leopard gecko's in the 55 gal?

Leo's are very easy to take care of and they really don't need to be tamed, they're pretty docile by nature. The 30 will be plenty big for one, you could get away with two girls in the 55. What morphs have you had your eye's on?

Re: Thinking About Getting a Leopard Gecko

I have about 17 adult geckos and 9 babies. They are very easy to take care of, but what ever you do, don't put them on sand or any of that other **** they sell for them. Just put them on black and white news paper or paper towel. All the sand or bark will end up doing is impacting them, which means they cant go to bathroom, and kills them..

Re: Thinking About Getting a Leopard Gecko

Go for it! They are great just remember when they are young they are a bit jumpy.... if you want something more tame go with 6-8 months or older. Babies require more attention in order to tame quickly.
