Night 3 and Still Not Eating
well for thos of you who dont know let me fill you in. i have a leopard gecko I got at a expo he isnt full size but also is not a baby. would say about 6 inches. anyway he was a bit thin in the tail when I got him but nothing alarming. 2nd night I seen him drink alot of water. tonight he hasnt even come out of his hide. i dropped in crickets and nothing yet. i am also leaving 20 mealies in a short ceramic bowl overnight and so far nothing. anything you would recommend? I have another gecko and she is just fine. everything in her tank is the same as his. this is a pic of him the day I got him.

depending on how new he is he is still adjusting. they need at least a week to settle in and he probably isn't really hungry since he's stressed. moving to a new place can be scary for them. as long as the temps are all where they should be and everything is correct then you shouldn't worry yet. give him some time. he'll eat when he's ready.

i hate this my other 2 ate the same night I got them. i really hope he will come too. when he is all plump I even have his girlfriend for him.

Take a deep breath...I have a gecko who will go off food for 2 weeks at random, then gorge herself.
I'd cover all but the front of his cage, make sure he has lots of hides and just let him adjust.

no worries yet...hang in there my leo took about a week and a half to adjust then became a real pig lol

ok well I tryed some crickets again tonight and he still doesnt seem interested in them. i will leave them in for a few hours and remove any uneaten before I goto bed. mealies are in a small short ceramic bowl and have been in there since day one and he has not eat any of them. 20 are in on day one and 20 still there on night 4

don't try to feed him too often while he's still settling in. it may stress him out more especially if he's not hungry right now.
