If he's in the same room as your other reptiles, that may also be adding to his adjustment period. And if you're in there a lot, tinkering around, looking in his cage, or offering him food, he's probably just freaked out. Try not to go into the room too often, or if it's a well used room, go ahead and put him somewhere quiet, like a closet, temporarily until he seems to be getting less jittery. Moving him back out will be less traumatic, then, because he'll feel safe in his cage and hides by then. He'll probably start eating well in no time.

he is in my bedroom however I have the front of his tank covered so he doesnt see movement if anything he hears the tv on after 5pm m-f. this is night 5 so I will try again tonight. he doesnt run and hide when I walk in the room anymore so that could be a good sign. trying again tonight

if you put him inbetween you fingers and push on there neck a little they open there mouthes just dropone in it does not hurt him
after that he should start eating when hes hungry
