Is My Leo Normal?
My Leo seems to spend all its time lying in one place, it is like half on and half off the under tank heater, there is a cave on the undertank heater and one on the cooler side, but he just seems to lay there. there is nothing wrong with him he is eating and drinking fine I dust his crickets with a calcium powder twice a week. the temps are 80-85c on the warm side and 70-75c on the cold side during the day and at night they drop buy about 10c.

Re: Is My Leo Normal?
but by nocturnal I thought they would hide all day or most of it, not lay out in the open all day.

Re: Is My Leo Normal?
my GF's leo does that too. try moving his hide half on half off the under tank heater if you are really concerned. I would bet he is just regulating his body temp at the expense of hiding. the tank heater is just a little warmer than he wants, its kinda like how when its too hot at night you may throw a leg out from under the covers
. we moved the hide for ours over a few inches and now he sleeps all day just inside the door to his hide.
