Today as per usual when I put my hand in the tank to change the water etc. gizmo came running on to my hand and up my arm. as she was wandering about I noticed some faint clicking sounds.....

shes just as active as normal and I was wondering is this normal or is it a sign she may be getting some kind of infection??? i haven't noticed the noise before although it is very quiet I may have just missed it before

i'm not exactly sure what they could be either but I know if anyone else comes around they'll want to know about her setup, temps, substrate and everything else you can tell us about her. how long have you had her?

the more information you can give the better the chances are that someone will either know the answer or point you in the right direction.

she has three hides one on the cool side one on the hot side and a moist hide near the hot side. Substrate is just newspaper. As for temps its between 80-90 during the day and this drops 5-10 degrees at night. Her behavior is the same as always, if anything she's more active. Ive had her about a month at this stage

geckos do vocalize from what I've read. books call it a bark. I got mine upset with me one day and it sounded like that noise mum used to make to get a baby's attention tsktsk(tongue clicking) or kinda like teeth clicking together or a little cough type noise. best way I can describe it, sorry that it's about as clear as mud.

I know respiratory infections can cause mucous buildup that will sometimes make clicking sounds when they breathe. But then again, it could also be vocalizations for all I know. Do you know what the humidity's like?
