Re: Freezing Crix ?

I have never heard of anyone doing this but youre gonna want to make sure they are defrosted and at room temp, you dont want your leo eating semi frozen crix

Re: Freezing Crix ?

May I ask why you would even want to?

I wouldn't do it though, for the reason Savannah mentioned. You don't want any herp eating frozen or even cooled crickets. Crickets will cease motion if they get too cold, like any insect. And as long as they're not damaged or completely frozen, they will "come back to life" when thawed, but there's no safe or practical application of this when it comes to feeding your gecko. They shouldn't eat cold food.

Re: Freezing Crix ?

It doesn't take much to kill a cricket either. A drop down to 60 degrees for any length of time could do this.
