My Girl Gecko Is Pregnant
Like above my girl is impregnated and I was wondering how long it takes before she is ready to lay eggs. I have full intentions of incubating these little guys I am currently not set up for that but will be wondering how long I have before I need to get my equipment together. Plus any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Usually 3-4 weeks after copulation. You need to get an laying box ready, mine used to lay hers in the moist hide.

Congrats!! Just wondering...how do you know she is pregnant? I know nothing about breeding leo's....do you just assume because she mated, or can you tell somehow?

Venus thank you, Yeah I have a moist hide in the tank and I have two plastic travel/starter cages I am going to use after she lays them. I need to find a good light/heat source to control the temp I want to incubate females. And red rock after about a week after they mated you can see the eggs under her belly they are white circles I will see If I can get any pictures.

Light source? Are you going to use an incubator? What are you going to use for substrate.

you can see them after a week?! That is fast!
But, I suppose if they are only in there for a total of 3-4 weeks that would make sense.... The only baby making process I have ever studied in depth was for my horse....and they are pregnant for almost a full year the poor things!! haha Would love to see pictures if you can get any..... |
