Im worried about Bella HELP PLEASE! SCARED!

Bella my female leo, housed with my male leo Fly, they get along great but she has a total loss of appetite lately, first of all neither of the two will eat the pheonyx worms out of the bowl, but the male will actively eat a cricket put infront of his face, the female just has no interest, im really worried, the temps are 86-90F on hot side and mid 70s on cool side, i have a hot hide, cold hide, and a moist hide on the hot end, a water dish, calcium dish, and food dish(which they wont eat the pheonyx worms from)..im totally lost and confused

Your temps and setup is fine, are they older geckos ?? mine used to eat daily but the older they get the less frequent they feed. Try a different kind of worm (superworms or silks) mine did not like the phoenix worms too. Waxworms are a good treat every week or 2 but are mostly fat, little nutrition.

separate them. leopard geckos are solitary creatures. The may may be bullying for food and stressing the female out so she isn't eating.

What size is the enclosure?

if they are still young, for now you can divide up the enclosure into halves to separate.

yeah separate them sometimes they get stressed if they feel they have to compete for food and they wont eat due to that.

Careful she's not pregnant either. My gal did'nt eat very often and her upper body and tail got skinny ( Save the bulbous eggs lol ) before she laid her clutch. She would'nt eat anything I put in front of her either, and just kind of looked at it and walked away. Anyways, after laying them she went on what you could call an eating rampage of sorts. She actually went through a bowl of mealworms herself. Which I had never seen her do. But she is back to normal, very attentive, loves to treat my hand as a menu item, and eating just fine.

Re: Im worried about Bella HELP PLEASE! SCARED!

I agree on not housing a male and female together on a regular basis. If you want to breed them when they are adults, then they can be housed together temporarily for that, and then separated again. I would definitely separate them.

Also, it is normal for Leopard Geckos to have periodic times when they don't eat much (or at all). I don't know if this is normal for juveniles, but my adults have definitely done this numerous times. I just keep offering the food, and eventually they go back to eating it.

Forgot to add this but Geckos will fast seasonally, depending on their internal clocks.
