Probably about the same as those who find rats in my freezer with the people food!!! I had one friend say she was never eating at my house again! LOL The rats are double bagged, they aren't hurting any people food, apparently its just the thought. I had a full size baby lamb in there one year, he had died at birth, and was severely deformed so my daughters professor wanted him for her class she teaches on things like that!

Also you might warm the food up a little, a few minutes under a heat lamp usually does it.

I'd only try hand feeding him two or three times a day, if it becomes to stressful it can be counter productive.

Manda, I didn't mean to leave you out of the earlier post. I wish you the best of luck with your new leo. Keep us informed of how he's doing. I brought home a baby Bearded Dragon from the pet store one time who had already quit breathing several times while we were watching him, he didn't make it, he was too dehydrated. best of luck

LoL, well it's not going to be my housemates processor..since I live with my mom it'll be her processor! haha. I'm about to go pick up the goods now. I could try to just mash it with a mortor and pestal then I can just make it as needed. Hopefully the little bugger will crap so I can take it with me to the vet. It might be a case of impaction since the store had him on the wrong stuff..I heard that a warm water soak can help with that..thoughts?
thanks! BTW..LOVE this group

Yes a nice warm soak for about 15-20 usually helps. Normally rubbing from chest to vent helps break it up whatever is impacted, but he is so small I dont know if you can do it.

Warm soaks and belly rubs can be really helpful, some of the not pooping might be caused by him not being very well hydrated either, you could try putting a drop of olive oil on the end of his nose, I use it on occasion with my Bearded Dragon, but he's chronically impacted and super stubborn.

Re: Rescued a BABY leo! Advice needed!

Just picked up all the ingredients for the mix at the store..I'm going to pick up a 10g after work. He's just soo freakin tiny, he doesn't need much room, but I know, the bigger the better .
What are the ratio of foods that I'm supossed to mix together..and also, is it supposed to be a thicker mix or a liquid-ier (lol) mix? I found some tiny eyedroppers that are going to be perfect for feeding too. But I'm going to wait to see if he'll take some crix first though.
I'm really enjoying taking care of this little fella..when I get him nursed back to health, he's gonna be my little buddy

He will be able to stay in that for a while. They like to hide when they are babies so just add some hides and plants and it wont seem so big to him
