I think my leopard gecko has metabolic bone disease actually I'm pretty sure it does. How can I make him better? He is lythargic, he's not eating, and he kind of drags his body. Also he has swollen joints on his front legs. Please help.

You need to take your gecko to a vet. As has been said time and time again we are not vets, we can not diagnose or treat your gecko. It is very important that you get your gecko seen by a professional.

I would take him to a vet but I don't have the money so if anyone has any advice at all. Please help.

Find someone who can take him and get him the care he needs. Your lizards life depends upon it.
Part of owning any pet is providing them with proper care. Good thoughts can't keep a reptile in good health, it takes time, money, and regular check ups.
Unless you can find a vet who will take payments I would strongly suggest that you contact a local rescue, explain your situation and see if they have a place for your lizard.
Our reptiles are helpless, it is up to us to ensure they get everything that they need.

Metabolic Bone Disease is a disease that doesn't show up over night. This has obviously been a long time in the making, and it is your duty as a responsible owner to try to stop its progression, but I warn you it can be an expensive prospect.

Can you please tell us about your set up, temps, substrate, size, diet, everything that is covered on the caresheet that you have been linked to. It wont help us cure your gecko (as there is no cure for Metabolic Bone Disease, just treatment) but it may help you realize how your gecko became the way it is.

Why do people take on the responsibility of having a pet, and then say they cannot afford to take proper care of it?

This is sad, he needs your help, either you suck it up and save yourself from your next clothing purchase to save his life, or you let him die.
The choice is yours.

We would need to know your set up to help out. What is the size of the cage? What lights lights are you using? What are the temperatures and humidity levels? What substrate do you have in the cage? What are you feeding him? What vitamins are you using?

We'll only be able to give you some suggestions for how to correct the care of your animal. As Lacey said, you'll need to get him to a vet to help him, or to a rescue if you cannot afford vet care. Unfortunately, sickness is a part of owning an animal, and vet care for reptiles is vitally important. Every owner must budget in some money for health care for their pets.

Never mind guys he is getting much better he is starting to eat again I helped him. He is getting much better.
