i was reading on leopardgecko.com and they said they have a new type of Leopard Gecko called an Emerald Leopard Gecko are they new and has anyone heard of them. they also said that from their experiences depending on the temperature you incubate the eggs will depend on if they are albino or not is this true or not.

Re: Check this out

The only think the temp controls is the sex of the baby gecko. Genetics control the rest.

Re: Check this out

It is trepmers gentics. Thats all it is. They are about 3 months old now. I forget. Last thing I knew moose died. BUt all an ermie is, is it has some green tint to it all I can see. No not many have one. If youve noticed the prices they are more than likely breeders for other breeders and not pets.

The temp does have a small factor on color, atleast from what ive heard from a few people.

Re: Check this out

I do hear that the higher temps make the colors brighter. I would like to see an emerald in person to see how much green the geckos have and how green the green really is. But an albino is a recessive trait that has to be bred for.
