Baby Leopard Gecko

Hey everyone!
I finally managed to make the photos smaller so they could be uploaded

Here she is: Yubaba, my first Leopard Gecko

I'm not sure but I think she is at least 1 month old. I've had her since the 13th October and she is settling in nicely. she seems to like coming out of her vivarium onto my wrist and walking all over the bed. I haven't seen her eating for a couple of days now, but she is still going to the toilet and before that time, she ate a lot of crickets (8 small ones) so I'm guessing that she might be full and is just resting..

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos, let me know what you think about her and be sure to keep a look out for more pictures!

click on the images to make them bigger, cheers!

I often wish that they would keep that banded look!

Re: Baby Leopard Gecko

Thanks for all your comments yeah I'll miss that banded look as she gets older, but I'll love to see how she will develop and eventually look as an adult.

Re: Baby Leopard Gecko

hey again, a quick question, I know that it's not a good idea for young leopard geckos to be kept on calci sand as it can result in them ingesting it and resulting in impaction. But, I was told that if they dont consume too much its okay, and if they are supplied with the calcium powder they need, she will be fine and she won't eat the calci sand. I'm getting a bit concerned that she hasn't been eating for a few days now and I can see a sort of dark patch inside her stomach when I hold her up to the light. It may be a cricket that she ate but seeing as I haven't seen her eat in a while..I can't be certain. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Re: Baby Leopard Gecko

Here we go again reiterating the great sand debate.

Just throw it away.
If it *might* be a threat then why would you use it? You wouldn't give kids broken glass, not because you know it is inherently going to guarantee 100% that they will hurt themselves...but because it *might*

Read these:

Slightly Scared...Very Sad

Calcium Carbonate Substrates

Read this too, especially if you haven't already. Pay special attention to the substrate section:
