I use heat lamps over slate with some geckos and heat pads under half the tank with the others.

umm is walnut beeding ok for leopard gecko's my pet store said that if they eat the walnut beeding they will digest it so I was wondering if it was ok.

Walnut bedding isnt good for much at all. Its like sand but sharper edges and also causes impaction when ingested.

that stuff is good for them, because I thought that since they lived in dessert regions they wouls need something to simulate that.

They do not live in the desert. They live in arid regions, but on hard packed clay and rock, not on sand.
