Hello I have 2 leopard Geckos and the oldest one I think has broken its leg. I saw that the gecko was shedding and about 30 mins later the gecko is done shedding and was limping, and shaking the back right leg.

It would be nice if we could see a larger picture.

If indeed you think it is broken you need to get the gecko to a vet ASAP.

In the mean time it may be helpful if you tell us about the geckos set up, a healthy gecko doesn;t just break a leg shedding, there might be an underlying cause that you just haven't recognized.

Welcome to the HC Network! Minus a compound fracture or the limb being twisted backward, it would be impossible to determine if it had a broken leg without an x-ray.

If the injury wasn't there before it started shedding, and now it appears to be a result of the shedding, I too would speculate it isn't an actual break. (I could certainly be wrong and a vet visit should confirm whether it is or isn't.)

If it is broken, it will need to be realligned and splintered. That isn't anything any of us would be able to help with. If it isn't realligned properly, the leo could end up with a permanent limp or lose use of the leg completely.

How about you tell us about it in the mean time,
what are the temps?
do you have a moist hide?
what is the substrate?
are the geckos housed together?
do you have a calcium dish?
how often do you supplement?
what size is the cage?
what is his diet?
is he still limping?
