OK she is a mack snow leopard gecko and I have read all about how to take care of her and her mate. Blizzard is the male and aspen is the female. She is around 50-60 grams and has a hot side and a cool side of the cage.

I am wondering how I can tell if she is pregnant other that seeing the eggs I think I can see one and this is her first time breeding the male is 50 grams or so and big tail as well! I saw the male on top of her about 2 weeks a go and they were breeding !!! She has been eating fine she has been shedding fine! she is hanging around the warm side ALOT more now! and I feed them mealworms??


How can I tell if she has an egg? other than just seeing it??????? thanks

Welcome to the HC Network. Gravid females are not always easy to identify. Beyond noticing the egg or eggs developing, you need to watch her behavior. A gravid leo will typically begin looking for an egg laying box. If you don't have one yet, here is how to make one:

Simple Moist Hide Creation

The female will begin digging when she is preparing to lay the eggs. If you don't provide a box for her to do so in, she will lay them in her water dish, a hide, etc. In most cases, this will result in you losing the eggs.

ok! thanks I do have en egg laying box and im getting an incubator today! which size should I use? ps she is digging in the egg laying box
