caring for eggs

This is not my first time caring for eggs, unfortunetly my first set didn't make it.

Here is the setup I have for my eggs, I would love comments or suggestions

A tupperware container that contains two small vents (usually for storing fruit)
paper towel substrate
a shot glass full of water for humidity
two eggs(left in their original orientation)

Am I missing anything, I don't want these eggs to die as well.

Re: caring for eggs

What are you using for an incubator? The paper towel is not an adequate substrate medium for incubation trays. Here is the link I posted in the other thread: http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...123.html?t=123

Check the bottom. It explains how to incubate eggs.

Re: caring for eggs

Is there anything I should be looking for in these eggs? Do they look different as they develop? How will I know if it didn't work?

Re: caring for eggs

the eggs will be soft and watery if they are infertile, fertile eggs will be nice and hard like a ture egg, type in albeys reptiles in google and you can incubate eggs with just a heating pad.

Re: caring for eggs

Is the care the same for pretty much all lizards? I have geckos that were recently 'doin it' and Id live to hatch them out. I'm talking about my dwarf yellow head gckos
