Vomiting leo...

I recently aquired a little leo from a friend of mine who was not taking very good care of it. He had him on calcisand, no hides, no calcium supps and fed once a week if he was lucky. Ive had him for about a week now and hes adjusting well but just about every time Ive fed him he vomits about 10 mins after he eats. His temps are 88 in his warm spot and in the upper seventies on the cool side. He is on paper towels, has 2 hides, water bowl and little dish full of calcium. My thinking is that he is just stressed or not used to being fed so often? I only give him 3-5 small crix at a time so he cant be over eating. Would impaction cause recurrent vomiting? Give me your thoughts :-) and Ill give you pics! Thanks guys

Re: Vomiting leo...

My first thought was impaction. If there is a blockage then there is nowhere for the food to go. Has he defecated since you got him? Did it look normal?

Try feeding him one cricket at a time, if he keeps its down for a half hour offer him another cricket. It's no use wasting 5 crickets if he isn't gonig to get any nutrients from them.
