It's pretty. I'm not sure what the rules of the contest are, though, so I can't really say how it would do for the contest. It's a lighthearted, sunny picture, though. It made me smile.

Do they go by content or quality...because despite the fact that it is a cheery photo is has poor focus, blown highlights, and distracting foreground elements.

Probably. I have met the prize at my local reptile show and I want him. Even though I probably wouldn't keep him I have never won anything in my life. Um as far as rules go it doesn't matter quality. You just have to be 18 or older and live in the usa and it has to be a picture of a reptile. Everyone else entered snakes. There was one crested gecko and two turtles. but I wanted to enter something different.
