Hello,
Paper towels work very well for young geckos. It also allows you to monitor their stools. From the pictures, vinegars tail is also fairly thin. The smallest one is certainly in need of separation. If possible, you should try to have a fecal done on each of them. I am suspecting that they may have a parasite of some sort. Even baby Leopard Geckos, or juveniles, maintain a pretty plump tail. When the tail is not "plump", it is normally a sign that they are not getting enough food, or they have a parasite of some sort. |

The equipment to separate them could be as simple as plastic sterilite containers. They don't need individual massive enclosures. Sterilites are very cheap and you could grab 2 of them for a very small amount of money. You could use a human heating pad as their heat source as well. One would be sufficient for 2 of the sterilites if they were both placed on top of it. Are you using an under tank heater? is it on a rheostat? If its an Under Tank Heater, the paper towel would be fine. if the heating device is IN the enclosure, I wouldn't advise placing paper on it. Are you finding what appears to be regurgitation in the enclosure or runny stools? |

Hello,
If the temperatures in the tank are not warm enough, the Leopard Geckos won't be able to digest their food properly. That could cause a regurgitation. (I think that is what you are referring too.) The Leopard Geckos could also have a parasite, which is also likely. I suggest bringing them to a vet or at least having a fecal done by a vet. if they do have parasites, and you don't get the proper meds to get rid of them, the Leopard Geckos won't have much of a chance of surviving. What are the temps in the enclosure? Pictures always help, so post away. |

If you can keep each leo separate, and get a stool sample from each, the fecals would be fairly cheap. The fecals would be able to determine if any of them actually have a parasite, so you need to label each stool sample.
I would guess around $50.00 to have all 3 done. If they have parasites, you will get a prescription for them. That will cost money as well, but I can't say how much as I don't know. |

Hello,
If they were housed together, and 2 of the 3 have parasites, it would be safest to have them all checked. Parasites can be exchanged by sharing the water bowl, feed bowls, licking one another, encounters with stool, etc. I didn't realize you resided in England. As such, I can't say how much it would cost. Call a local vet and ask them how much it would cost. Your prices may differ greatly from ours. (I live in the U.S) Sorry for being the bearer of bad news. I am just stating what could be the issue. |
