back to back sheds?

Sunshine shed again today...she shed a week ago too! I guess tat is why she hasn't been eating! I am just glad she is ok. Is this strange for an almost full size leo to shed that much? SHe looks relieve though..she has even more orange on her tail too..so expect pics soon!

When I seen her this morning she looked like she had a mask on! you know how you can see her shed off her skin, but still around the face? It looked so funny! too bad I didn't have my camera.

Hello,

This isn't unusual, especially if they are fed regularly. I have had Leopard Geckos in the past (I own 12 of the little buggers) that shed regularly like that and then just slowed down completely.

ok, thanks for that info!

She has never shed like that lately since she has been grown. SHe shed about a week ago and hadn't ate for almost a week! I was so worried and then she sheds again. She has been eating the past couple days, but only 2 crickets a day? Which isn't all that much! She has been pooping though. I am hoping she is ok and just not eating cause of shedding. She is still pretty fat...her tail is really fat and her belly looks really fat too. She is active and looks like she feels ok, so I will just keep an eye on her. She usually has a bowl of mealies, but hasn't been interested in them, just crickets...maybe she is tired of crickets too now. I am going tomorrow and getting superworms. I think they look too big for her, but maybe not?

The male I bought my son with the shed on the toes just shed again. (I would have to find my post to see when that was). I wondered if he did so soon after to do it right. He never had a shed box. It took awhile for him to figure it out, but then he spent quite a bit of time in there. Since this second shed his toes look so much better. Although he has lost some tips.
I can't say for sure he never had a shed box. When we got his home with him there was not one in there.

From experience I've had with Crested Geckos (yes, I know, different subfamily) and skinks (yes, I know, different family) I've noted that they usually do a sluff right before laying eggs/giving birth, even if the eggs are infertile. They also tend to do it right after laying the eggs, like a week or so.

Alright now I have a question, my leo is laying eggs and we think she has two more left, but she just shed so I was curious if this ment she might lay again soon, I check her moist hide morning and night, She seems to lay at night. And I don't care if she lays now. I have a baby and a little more room in my incubator!

aww babies! can't help with the ? though =)

My Sunshine ate pretty good today so I feel much better. I will get some pics soon. She still has a little shed on her nose where it usually sticks too. My leo has a moist hide and she has been in there. I think maybe she might be outgrowing it alittle? I'll have to get a pic so I can get some opinions on that. She does fit in it though.

I wonder if she is going to lay infertile eggs? would that explain the not eating and then still being pretty FAT looking? and the back to back sheds? and her laying in the moist hide? So far the past two weeks her eating was making me nervous: she wouldn't eat for like a week then only two crickets and finally her second shed was yesterday and she finally eats good today? no eggs though cause I changed her wet paper towel I use instead of moss.

I'll have to get some pics, she looks really pretty, she is getting even MORE orange lol on her tail! Plus, I need opinions.
