Boy or Girl?

I was just curious. How do you tell the difference between little boy leo's and little girl leo's? The pet store told me that she is "probably" a girl. I always refer to her as a her. But I really don't know for sure. Is this something that is to tell or would a vet have to tell me?

From the caresheet. Take a pic and post it here and maybe we can help you

Males also have "bulges" that protrude below the vent. This is where the hemipene can be found.

Females also have femoral pores in the same location. They are much less pronounced than the males and far less visible...

Thanks, I found the info on the breeding care sheet. I never read that one. I think Ducky is too young to know yet. I am not sure how old she is but I am sure that she probably less than six months, from the very little info the pet store gave me.

I know a lot of people have put their lizards on a glass table and taken a picture from underneath to try and get some help from here. Maybe you could try that....

The only way to sex them when they are young is to incubate them at a cetain temp. Even then there is only about a 95% chance you have the sex you want. Hope that helps.
