Not Leopard Geckos but I breed 5 female bearded dragons and ended up with 72 eggs at once, lol.

shouldnt be as hard with Leopard geckos....they only lay 2 eggs each time but many clutches in a season....the numbers could get up there...not to 72 though

I generally only breed 1-2 females a year, thats plenty lol. If your in it for a buisness then your likely to breed more but I mainly breed for fun. Give most babies away. Theirs more to breeding then just introducing a female and male, you need to have homes set-up for the babies or be able to keep/feed them if you cant get rid of them. Plus you will need a hovabator, you will either need to buy one or make one.

I agree with Jason. You should start out slow. If you think the vet bill was alot of money, wait till you start feeding alot of baby geckos. Most people dont take that into consideration before they begin breeding. Its not as easy to sell a gecko as you think.

Alright. Well I only bred one female this year. And I have a meal worm breeding colony with me and I already have deals with several shops to trade my mealies for crickets. And I am not going to go straight to breeding all my females and I don't think I ever will. But I have a home made incubator already with 3 eggs in there. Still have like 4 to 8 more weeks before the first on hatches. I don't have homes ready but we are in the process of building a breeding rack. I have 9 Leopard Geckos now and the tanks and lights are way to much for me. I have my thermostates ready and getting some heating tape to get me started. And then I will start building. I am going to have enough room for 12 adult leopard geckos. And several babies!
