Eye sight
How well do geckos see? Sometimes my leo will just stare right past something like it is not there. Other times she seems to notice everything that is going on around her cage. Is their sight based on motion? I definately notice that if something moves in her cage or near her cage she watches it.

Hmm i'm not sure how well they see...Cleo bolts everytime anything moves...and scooter runs toward movement and b*tchface sleeps all the time and usually only eats if a crickt walks up and hops on her nose..

I just remember in Jurasis Park when the kids are stuck in the overturned car and the T-rex is trying to eat them, the guy tells them not to move because it can't see you unless you are moving!!

In the second book they tried that and got eaten. Actually that was the bad guys who tried to steal a baby from the T-rex nest. One of them stepped on a baby and broke its leg. Mama and Papa T-rex didn't like that. They tracked him down and fed him to the babies. I really liked that part of the creepy book.

leopard geckos can see just fine pending they are not being blinded by super bright lights. Remember, these animals are nocturnal.

Re: Eye sight
I agree that normally they can see just fine in low lighting or next to no light
I just recently received into my care a gecko that is either completely blind or next to it She has to be hand fed but she is so lovely that I could not turn her down Sorry that they eye pics are not that clear I am still working on taking extreme close-ups I know that with the right settings the camera can do them-I just have to figure it out Lemon Drop ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
