Thanks for the mention of the new Zoomed product, Moogle. I looked it up, and it looks very interesting. I might just try it out. It's called Zoomed Excavator substrate, for anyone else who wants to look at it.

I'm in the process of mixing it up a bit and adding some soil to trhe mixture. I will be making it so awesome it'll rock your faces off. Just gotta get some stuff for it. I will be steering away from the "Desert/arid" type like everyone does and venture to uncharted lands.

Tunnels would be neat but hard to get your gecko when you need to without destroying the setup.

THanks for the pics. THose are great. Would you mind me asking how you affix the branch in chomper's tank so that it doesn't tip over etc? Does he actually climb it? Thanks.

Here are pics of our two tanks. We used Repti-carpet instead of towels, but it's hard to keep clean. Also, we added a background on the outside of the tank to kind of make it look more finished. The hidey rocks are just the typical ones from Petco or similar stores. We also like to put a statue in all our tanks (geckos and hermit crabs). Since our geckos have Egyptian names, we put a cat Goddess statue with the girls and a Horus statue with the boy.

20L tank with our male, Ramses:

40g tank with our girls, Nephie & Cleo:

In the girls' tank, I had leftover background paper that I wrapped around the moist hide tub (which started out life as a Risotto container ).

Of course, they're all sleeping right now so there are no geckos in either picture. Typical!
