We do not mist ours but we do provide a moist hide in both the warm and cool end of the tank

In the morning it can be a good idea to gibve the tank a light misting. It simulates dew and your Leopard Geckos will probably drink it. As long as youy've got the right temperatures and a screen lid, the tank will come back to its drier humidity in a short while.

I thought that was the reason Matt just wasnt totally sure as they seem to like drinkin the drops of water off the sides of the moist hide.

Our moist hides have never had drops on the side, Matt must be getting this by misting. We use a shallow water dish and usually see our Leopard Geckos drinking in the late evening/early morning after the hunt.

Ooops,,,thought you meant on the outside... How damp is whatever you are using in the moisthide. We use sphagnum, get it soaked, and hand wring til just a little moist. I've seen condensation in our m/h in the warm side of the tank but never the cool. Now that you mention it I wouldn't be surprized if they drank from it,,,,something I'll have to investigate.....Thanks for the tip !!!

Yeah, I was talking about misting. Like most lizards, Leopard Geckos seem to prefer drinking droplets of water rather than from a dish, although unlike many lizards, they will still drink from a dish too.
