Getting another female

This is a question. It took us awhile to find the one we have. This one my son has is a female. I have seen you can have more then one. How likely are they to get along? I would hate to run out and get double supplies all at once and would rather be prepared. I suppose this is like my other critters and you just collect stuff LOL. There is suppose to be a show in August so it would be then if we get another. Can they tell the sex when they are little or would another adult be better? PetSmart did have two that have since sold. They kept the adult in the backroom away from the baby. If I wasn't trying to rehome it probably would not take as long to find one

If that rambling makes sense.

I have females of the same size living in the same enclosure. The enclosure is the size of a 20 gallon tank, but I use plastic sterlite containers, for two Leopard Geckos. Hope this helps.

You can keep 2 just fine in a 20 gl enclosure. They do need to be the same size when keeping them together. Also, whey you purchase your second one, you need to keep it in a quarantine tank for a few weeks to a month before putting them together to make sure the newbie isnt sick.

It's always better to have the whole 2nd set up just incase it doesn't work out, plus like Marsha said it needs to spend some time under quarantine. I do a 90 day but most people feel comfortable after a few weeks.

No the five girls are not together. One we attempted to breed is by herself. Then I have one that isn't thriving by herself and that leave another one by herself. The male is in his own enclosure.

I agree with what everyone else says, you need to keep them apart for at least 2-3 months 1 months at the least to make sure the other isn't sick and end up losing both in the end!
