I saw a picture online. The back legs have very long toes. They ones in front are shorter. The middle toe in the front much smaller then the others. Is this normal? I think they are the type that does not climb. I turn off my son sometimes when he talks about this lizard stuff non-stop.

If Im not mistaken, all toes on the front feet should be the same length. Perhaps a bad shed or an overly hungry cage mate caused the "shortage" lol....

Do they grow back? Are the front toes usually overall shorter then the back? No idea why I am wondering. I have heard of molts doing this. Now I think I know what that means.

No the toes do not grow back....but the Leopard Geckos can live a great lifefime without their toes...too low humidity in their humid hide could have been a reason....

As Lyn said, if shed skin gets stuck on the toes, it can constrict blood flow and cause toe loss. I always check my Leopard Geckos' feet after every shed to make sure their toes are completely "clean." But if a leo were to come to you with toe loss, it could survive just fine and be a great pet. With more attentive care, it won't lose any more toes, either. They are a ground-dwelling species, not really climbers (though they will climb sometimes if given the opportunity).
