New Leo

I just picked up a juv. Leo from petsmart. I never understood why people got so worked up about these little guys, until now. After setting up the tank, letting the little guy roam around for a while I threw in some crix, the tail shake sold me.
That is so freaking cute, eyes got all big, tail started shaking, and BAM, no more cricket. He/She is a little skinny, but very active and curious so I hope with a good diet he'll fatten up nicely. I went by the guide on HerpHabitat, The tank isn't as pleasing to the eyes as my firebellied tank but it works. Ill have some pics later today.

Wait until you see a male and a female together. The male's tail was moving so fast you could hear it. LOL

Hello,

Seeing as your leo is a baby, its enclosure shouldn't be anything elaborate right now. You want to be able to monitor him/her. The fact that the little one was ready and willing to eat is great. It will likely gain weight quickly. (Especially if it was housed with other Leopard Geckos at the petstore. Without the competition for food, it will thrive and eat to its hearts content. lol)

Awesome, def can't wait to see the pics. What kind of substrate do you have him/her on? I wouldn't reccommnd sand, and I know at most petsmarts and petco's they do.

Wow,,,he is skinny,,that tail should be way plumper. Also, you need to add a moist hide to his tank, with either damp paper towels or damp moss. What are you using for heat?

He is certainly a cutie. I like the hide and seek pic
