I had been planning to adopt a leo for my son. Then I read somewhere if there is a older one that someone is giving up because of not having the time to give the leo attention. (Not sure they are tame or just tolerate holding) they may not want be friendly. At this point I am having no luck finding one locally. I think we are going to end up with one from Petsmart . They do seem someone educated when I talked to them about it.

I understand ...sometimes there are not that many around for adoption. If you do go with Petsmart, look for a nice healthy looking baby. Make sure the eyes are clear, the tail is fat, and there isnt any mucous or stuff dried on the mouth, eyes etc...or near the vent (bum) area. Some of my first Leopard Geckos years ago were from Petco and they were fine. Good luck with your quest....oh and for a Betta also...I like those...they are beautiful.....and dont forget the pics !!!!

You can also check on kingsnake.com this is were we have gotten all of our Leopard Geckos. Shipping can be nerve racking the first time but I have had nothing but success.
