Shedding scare!
Hi
I was worried about Sunshine cause she was in her moist hide for acouple days without eating or coming out from what I have seen. She didn't appear to have MOVED! I touched her tail to see if she would move it and she did, but I didn't want to disturb her too much. I was concerned cause it doesn't usually take her long to shed. I started to get freaked out cause she started wiggling around like she was STUCK! I waited a short time to see if she was really stuck and then she backed out of the hide herself and she seemed to be fine and not shedding anymore??? I am kinda confused about what was going on? I fed her abunch of dusted crickets and acouple mealworms, so she was fine. I will get some pics of her tomorrow if I have time. does this happen to anyone else? It is unusual for her from her other sheds so I wanted to see what you all thought? Thanks

She was lounging with her full belly and I counted her toes =) I saw she was "missing" one! YIKES! I thought right> but she had it tucked under her foot ha ha geez what a morning!

hmm I've never had that happen so I'd wait for someone elses reply on that. LOL that's so funny...the biggest scare Skittles gave me I think was when I was talking to my aunt on the phone and noticed Skittles staring at me completly sideways. I like droped the phone and and stared at her in time frozen hands still in just droped the phone stance and when I started walking towards her she tilted it the other way and then looked at me as if I was boring and went back to normal. I think I may have been making an imitation of something on the phone...she must of thought it was weird :P

That isnt unusual for them to have no appetite during shed, and now that winter is upon us, it might seem even more noticable and increased.
The toe thing is hilarious,,,they just love to stress us out dont they

haa oh wait sorry I thought a weird thing was happening there yeah...the normal thing is for them to be completely uncomftorable looking for a little bit and stop eating for a day or so and then all of a sudden I look over and she's all happy looking looking up at me and not a white little ghosty anymore.

thanks =) I feel better she is back to herself pretty much now! If she will let me I will try to get a picture to post. She has more orange spreading every shed so I don't know if she will have any spots left when she gets full size, but she is still my favorate lizard lol> I will just have to get a second one who will hopefully keeps some spots ha ha

Question: My leopard gecko is usually a very good eater but for the past couple weeks he has been uninterested in food. He'll just look at it and walk off. Is it because of the colder weather or could it be something more serious?

It could be due to the weather or a new shedding coming on. Is she eating at all?
