Carrot?
Some of the crix are sneakier than others and persist in the gecko cages for a couple of days, is it ok to put a piece of carrot in there for them to nibble on until the geckos wise up and perhaps act as bait to draw them out?

i know of a few people that put crix food in the tank so the crix dont decide to munch on the lizard they are intended to feed.

I put a small bottle lid in the gecko's tank, with chopped veg in it for the crickets to munch on instead of them bothering the geckos, it also gutloads them at the same time!
We do this in the collared lizards' tank too sometimes, although they are much quicker than the geckos and don't give the crickets any time to get away from their hungry little mouths! ![]()

It should be ok. Crix always find food in my tanks, and and I've never had a problem with them going after any of the herps. Just make sure that the carrot is too big for your Leopard Geckos to ally swallow.

You just have to make sure your gecko does not poop while the crickets are in the tank. Even though food will distract them for a nice period of time. Crickets like to move around. They may not nibble on your gecko but they will crawl around him/her and disturb them.

In my tarantula cage
If there are crix left over, I put some fish food in for the crix to eat...they are usually gone in 24 to 48 hrs, but it keeps them fed...Lyn
