Re: aggressive?

In general yes kings are considered more aggressive although I've known some kings that are just as sweet as most corns. You generally do not keep any other snakes with kings, as they will eat them. Even other king snakes. The one breeder has stories about putting a male and female in to breed, and ending up with only one snake.

Re: aggressive?

In my opinion Kings tend to be more aggressive than Corns. Of courtse there are exceptions to every rule. Of all the snakes I have the one I can count on to bite me is a California King!

Re: aggressive?

For what it's worth ~ I have had 2 Florida king snakes and they were both very mello. I don't have any comparison, but they never tried to bite me and were never aggressive. The did escape from time to time, lol, but that was my fault not theirs This was all about 20 years ago ( I can't believe I'm that old!) so maybe I was more tollerant then

Re: aggressive?

We're on our first day with our kingsnake, and he's very active, but seems harmless, but that could all change. It is only day one after all!

Re: aggressive?

With our female all was well and good for a year or so. Then one day she decided to start biting.
And they were feeding type strikes. Bite and hold on! Just be aware.

Re: aggressive?

I'll keep that in mind myself, did you ever find out why or a solution to the striking? Or did it just continue??
