Nope she still does it. She will even bite a snake bag! Goofy snake!
And I have heard similar stories about other cal kings!

more than cornsnakes but i've owned ratsnakes that were pure vicious.

Oh yes! Some Black rats, particularly wild caughts, are nasty little buggers!

well,i have had corn's and rat snakes with mental problems in the past that would bite me for no reason and there bites dont hurt when there babies lol but it would become a problem when there bigger, and they grew outa of it
ive never had a king bite me ,its all on the snakes personality each snake is different
kings are more agro in the sense of *eating other snakes* thats my opinion good luck picking!

of the 100 or so kingsnakes in my collection, my cali are the most jittery most musky and more harder to handle than all the rest.
the only reason they're so popular is because they were mass produced in the 70's-80's and there are a bazillion of them availible.
all of my cali will be put into crossbreed progects except this patternless chocolate

Now that is a incredible looking snake. All this talk of snakes makes me lean more and more towards finding a nice sized cali king, or such for my empty 75 gallon tank in my room.

Oh man....Merlin you have me a little scared now! Our young CA King Snake has never bitten us - never really done anything more than jump a little if we move too fast or something. Now I am going to be paranoid that she is going to snap one day! haha Oh well. I will stick with my geckos and whatnot - the boyfriend is the snake fan in our household. He can get bit I guess!

Don't freak out! Theya re not all like that.
I have a friend who has a big adult male that is just as handleable as can be. He has it out on his table at shows for people to handle.

My California king has never tried bite me except during a few feedings. I don't know much about corn snakes, but my king is very friendly to anyone who handles him.

if you are persistant you can get your snake to mellow out. Ive seen even sand boas that will allow you to handle them.... as well as corns that hiss and rattle when you approach them (mine does...... ) im working with mine currently to resocialize him, and its going well. regular short handlings will easily bring a king around
