Hey everyone, about 30mins ago I finally got tagged not once, but twice by my ~1.2 year-old Black Mexican Kingsnake. She decided after her regular handling to attack my middle finger then my ring finger. Thought they were fuzzie mice. Moron. I hadn't been bit by her previously although Paleontology! had the pleasure of getting bit by her the day I got her.

Wait til a large constrictor tags ya. I got nailed by an African rock python at the zoo (12 footer) no teeth involved,,,,,but the force left a black and blue mark the size of a softball and hurt for weeks

-I'm thinking that this was a feeding strike. She knows that she'll be fed once I'm done handling her. Maybe she just got a little impatient. She didn't bite my finger "head on", but got it perpendicular. She then proceeded to try and swallow my finger. I felt her tugging and readjusting her jaws to try and get more of my finger in her mouth.
