Greybanded kingsnake not eating
The grey banded kingsnake I'm taking care of decided to stop eating for the last 2-3 weeks. He has never missed a meal, despite that species being fussy sometimes. His heat pad went out, so we just got him a new one. Then we had a very high humidity wave come in, my reptile room was 70% WITHOUT spraying!! That couldn't have helped.
Despite his lack on interest in food, though he did occasionally carry it around in his mouth and move it around, he is insanely active. He is always out, always moving and is almost all the time holding his head or sometimes tail vertically along the glass or just in mid air. His temperment is the same as always, but he is never this active.
It reminds me of when blueberry went like 2 months on just baby food and wouldn't stop moving at all. He wanted a mate. I think that these snakes typically brumate before such mating occurs and he definately isn't in brumation.
Ideas?
