I recently got a QX5 usb toy microscope, what fun it has been.

2 day old fairy shrimp- < 1mm in length



3 day old daphnia- 1/4 mm in length

even stranger- here is a closeup of the tail end of a tadpole shrimp. Im not sure what its doing, but my best guess is that it gets oxygen from the water thru its backside.

That or possibly some sort of filter feeding action.

Found this cool critter yesterday under the microscope. He is smaller than the others, but very dragonesque looking.
