cicada at my window
this flew into my window and landed on the bar there (still there hrs later)...pretty cool...flash kept hitting the window so I opened it to take a few pics while hoping it wouldn't fly in...odd, pretty and creepy...observing is good but wouldn't want it to land on me

lol merlin...that's pretty funny
annual? so there's a different kind that comes out every 17 yrs? did u keep the one you caught? you sure are getting together quite a lot of insects it was there until this evening... and never heard this one make a sound other than the thump when it hit the window... I didn't think it could hurt me but I'm not quite up to wanting insects walking on me...bit squimish of that lol
