My roaches should be reproducing by now but I haven't seen a single ootheca. Humidity and temps are fine, food is abundant and they eat a ridiculous amount. What gives?

How often do you check on them? I found when breeding mine if I opened the rubbermaid containers more then once a week they didnt breed, but I left them alone for about 3 weeks and opend up the containers...bam! Lots of little eggies...Also, if your containers allow light through they wont breed.

I have some too. They ether have eggs/babies or some kind of bugs and parasites. Funny when mom learned one got out.

they need daily spraying here in alberta. The room they are kept in averages 20% humidity so they need spraying at least once a day.

The guy I got em from says they don't usually like alot of protein. He said to feed them anything but meat and dairy. I've found a few first instars, not as much as I had hoped. Still, it's something. No oothecae though, it's frustrating cause I shoulda had a population boom by now and done away with all my crickets.

I have alot of babies and didn't mean too. lol
