Well, I've been to a lot of Herp forums, and I've gotta say this is the best looking one!
Ok now...a little about me....
My name is Courtney, and I have two ball pythons.
Loki - I "rescued" from the pet store where he was born, as a birthday present to myself when I turned 21. He has the best temperment anyone could ask for, and he's only refused food once.
Merlin - I really did rescue from a pet store. A year ago, I went to buy a rat for Loki, and as usual, I stopped in to look at the snakes. Merlin and his tank mate were in a sorry state. I learned that they had been in the store only about 2 weeks, both imported from Africa. (I had no idea BP's lived in Africa,
but I wasn't gonna argue) I held both of them, Merlin was covered in mites, and his tankmate actually had ticks. My heart sank when I could only afford to rescue one of them, but I went with Merlin because I've dealt with mites before. So....we came home, and after I fed Loki, I got Merlin's tank all set up. I used Mite Guard on the tank, and snake oil on Merlin.
He cleared up in no time, however, he didn't eat for 6 months!
It's now over a year later, and my boys are inseperable. They live happily together in a 60 gallon tank with plenty of hiding places, and plenty of branches to climb. My humidity isn't what it should be, but that's a work in
progress....
What matters is that they are healthy, and content....And we have a trip
to the Vet this Tuesday morning because Loki has some retained eyecaps.
Anyway...let's see if I can get a pic or two...
This is Loki....playing in the grass outside.
and this it Merlin (the lighter colored head) and Loki (on the bottom) hanging out.
