Hi everyone!!!
I just joined the forum today as I was surfing for a reptile forum that featured a great place to find info about Cornsnakes. Why? I have wanted a snake for a long time, and was told by a worker at a pet store that a Cornsnake was the way to go. As I researched them, I kinda fell in love, lol
So I am hoping to get approval from the parents to get one Thanks alot, Chris |

Welcome! Indeed cornsnakes are hands down the best starter snake.
I have several myself! Pick up a copy of Kathy Love's The Cornsnake Manual" and let your parents thumb through it. With all the beautiful morphs there might be something that catches their eye. And its a darn good care book as well!

Well,
It's pretty much a no on the part of a cornsnake, what a waste of a username, lol Can you believe it was my dad that said no??? Anyway, I was quit surprised to hear my mom say I could possibly get a lizard "what would I get?" So this is the reasearching topic for me know. Can anyone suggest a great lizard. I have had a little experience with lizards before, stupidly they were captured lizards, I know now that is wrong (this wasn't to long ago). Thanks alot, Chris |

Hey Chris sorry to hear about the cornsnake...but a good starter lizard would be a leopard gecko. Here is a care sheet to get you started.
