Veggies
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. Let me give you a little background on my bearded dragon. I have had him approximately 10 months. I am guessing that he is around 11 months old. He resides in a 75 gallon reptile aquarium. His temperature on the basking spot is anywhere from 99 to 108 degrees. The cool end is between 75 and 80 degrees. Because he approaching adulthood I have been feeding him crickets every other day. His substrate is green reptile carpet. He is also supplied with a 10.0 UVB light.
Lately, he has quit eating his veggies altogether. I have been putting collard greens, turnip greens, bok choy, endive, mustard greens, and swiss chard. I usually put one at a time. Recently I changed his setup and I think that might have caused him some stress. I am beginning to wonder if he is getting tired of the color "green". Today I mixed in some collard greens, a slight amount of red cabbage, parsley, a radish, and some rasberries. This made it very colorful. If he eats this then I think the colors are more attractive for him. I know that I am supposed to feeding rasberries, and red cabbage sparingly. What does every one else feed their dragons? Do you make his food colroful? Or do you just throw in some green veggies? Thanks for reading this lenghty post.
