Been walking, crawling and slithering on some of the other reptile/herp forums and have decided to peek in here and join this one.
A year ago in Jan. saw the purchase of my first BP, but I've wanted snakes for over 20 years. Between being a college student (no room/no money) and then married (spouse said NWIH!) I put off getting my reptile. Since I am no longer a student, and no longer married < TYG!!!!> I am now in the process of paying for what will be my/our seventh snake.

Luckily my newly teenaged daughter looooooves the hobby. One of the snakes was her Christmas present this past year. She wanted one of her own, and didn't want a boid, so we got her a red albino corn instead.
Our menagerie is now 5 horses, 5 adults and 18 baby rats, 4 indoor cats, 2 outdoor cats and my niece's special-needs cat in the garage. Our snakey pets include, Kishnah (Keesh-nah) the corn, Wrigley a normal boa constrictor imperator, Pinky T the pastel boa constrictor imperator that will be mine in 2-3 more payments, Felix the Stimson's python, CeCe (Candy Cane) the albino Nelson's milksnake, Oreo the anery Kenyan SB, and ****y Snake the stripe BP. Baby had since passed on as well as Snoopy (both BPs

), Tundra the dog, and Stripe, our 17 y.o. queen this last Jan.
I had had experience caring for snakes in college, but it's different when I have to do the husbandry in a small house and do the mice/ rats breeding myself. I learn more every day and eventually plan on getting into the pieds, albinos and axanthics of balls, as well as *fingers crossed* a SD retic. I'd loooooooooooove to get an albino burm or retic some day, but not where we currently live. (Not NEAR enough room!!! *sigh*)
That should be enough of a book go get started. Hope to learn more and post more while on this site.
