Hello . I found this site thru Tricias web site. So far theres alot of really great info to be found here. I have three small chinese water dragons. They are presently in an old 150 gallon aquarium but plans are in the works for a 5 to 6 foot by 3 foot by 7 foot enclosure. I just need to figure out a way to build a pool thats filtered and easy to clean. lets face it these guys dont have much respect for their water dishes. How long are the bodys on a Chinese Water Dragon when they're full grown. got to go

Hello, Welcome to the HC!
I have two CWDs right now myself though they are still young. They can get from 2 to 3 foot in total length when full grown males being at the longer end and females being at the shorter end. 75% of their length will be their tail too. By the way, I'm suprised that name wasn't already taken, awesome!

welcome to the HC water dragon! Ive got 3 of the monsters myself...1 13 inches, 1 almost 20 and one 18..i use a plastic container for my water dish with a carbon filter...it works very well and the moving water encourgaes them to bathe and drink and such...Ill post some pics for ya when my digi cam charges

welcome I have one Chinese Water Dragon her name is skitz she is about 17 inches long now. they grow and shed quick!! i use a 5 inch deep plastic container for water with a carbon filter that also doubles as a water fall but I still have to change the water every 3 days even with just one dragon she makes a mess of her water!! my new viv will have a pond with a drain that I can just rinse out!
