Ello Ello
Hey, I've been lurking around the past week or so, as I build my 6'x6'x2' water dragon enclosure, and I was wondering where would be a good place to load up future pics of my project and the little bit when she's in her new home. BTW I'm very thankful its winter right now cause the fog/rain and the difficulty keeping a glass cage up to heat is really lighting a fire under my butt to get this done asap. The features for the enclosure right now include... a three stage waterfall, 2 live plant beds, and a hide. The reason I say right now is because this is only 1/4 of the entire enclosure. Another 1/4 will have more beds and 4' high 'trees', and UVB basking areas. The top half will house the heat lamp, a couple UVB basking areas and a mister.
1. Does anybody have thoughts on what it would take to get a styrofoam enclosure of this size, with figerglass doors up to 85 degrees with a room temperature of 60? Should 1 150 watt do it?
2. Is a 18" x 12" mesh vent on the bottom side going to be enough airflow?
Thanks for any help.

Hello,
You can add the pictures of your progress to the gallery here on the site if you like.
The heating will need to be determined with some trial and error unfortunantly. Styrofoam is a good insulator and unless you try a few bulbs, each of us will only be guessing.

Can I upload images directly to the gallery or do I need an ftp site?

Sweet. I have dinner at the parents place tomorrow night and I should be done with shell of the bottom left (the most complicated section). Maybe I'll take a snapshot then. Only 3 coats of tile adhesive, a layer of paint/T-Rex forest bed followed by two layers of sealent to go. Hopefully I can stagger all four sections and get it done in a week and a half or two.
