Yes you can, I use them on most of my setups. The heat that is put out varies, so the best bet is to turn it on low in an EMPTY tank and check the temp 24 hrs later. And welcome to the HC network

Hello,
Welcome to HC. I think Ken pretty much has your question covered. I too use human heat pads on my tanks. Make sure you test it out before putting your snake in.

Hello,
You should have a thermometer in there, what are the temps on the hot side?

Hello,
Yes, just be patient. You should also edit your posts instead of posting over and over. The hot side should be around 86 F - 92 F and the cool side should be around 80 F - 84 F. Take your snake out for a while and bump the heat pad up a knotch. Check it out in around 30 min. and if the temps are where they should be, put him back in. Also, its perfectly normal for a snake to try to escape.

When you say take it out of the bottom of the tank, you don't mean it is IN the tank correct ? the pad should be under it.
